The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact us all; however, we are open and following all the guidelines set forth by the Alberta Health Services (AHS) regarding "social distancing." While we remain committed to serving our clients, the health and safety of our clients and staff are of the highest importance. We will continue to closely monitor and follow the preventative measures recommended by the AHS.

Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)

Due to COVID-19, if you have stopped working, then the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) may provide you with temporary income support. The CERB provides $500 a week for up to 16 weeks.

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) provides interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits to help cover their operating costs during a period where their revenues have been temporarily reduced due to COVID-19.

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS)

As a Canadian business with employees affected by COVID-19, you may be eligible for a subsidy of 75% of employee wages for up to 12 weeks, retroactive from March 15, 2020, to June 6, 2020, up to a maximum of $847 per week per eligible employee.

Temporary Wage Subsidy for Canadian Employers

The special subsidy is equal to 10% of the remuneration you pay from March 18, 2020, to June 19, 2020, up to $1,375 for each eligible employee and to a maximum of $25,000 total per employer.

CRA Tax Filing & Payment Extensions

The CRA is further extending the payment due date for 2019 individual tax returns and 2019 or 2020 corporation or trust returns, as well as for instalment payments, from September 1, 2020, to September 30, 2020.
